Why were you paying the taxes all by yourself? It might be nice of them to give you a bigger share of the price, but unless you had a contract to that effect they don’t have to let you recoup your previous costs.
No. All property is taxed each year and is not refundable. But you can get the other persons to pay their share for the last three years (as far back as you can go.) Put it in the escrow.
wowow, this is a first for me. Anyone would ask you WHY did you do it?
you have had to have some unique motivation. figure
31x 1,000=31k plus 25% of the profits.
I think they will not agree with you. [that you should get all that
back.]
YOU set yourself up for something foolish but heck, try to
get them to agree to have escrow give you a check for that
at the sale.
but on the surface, be careful about saying refund for
taxes………instead, indicate something like you lent them
all x dollars [you have proof you are the only payer]…….and you want reimbursement for that long payment.
I think you are …..unique
That’s something you’ll need to take up with the other owners, not with the county.
If your conditions to signing a contract are contingent on the fact that you expect a refund then they either agree or don’t sell!
Ive been paying auto insurance for 27 years and never filed a cliam. Can I get reimbursed for that ?
I doubt it. You were able to fully claim the taxes with the IRS ,it is not as if the entire tax was out of your pocket and you received nothing for it.
