  1. Were the Fan Blades moving? Is the Fuse blown? Is it full of Dust and needs cleaning? Is it stuck when you try move the blades with a pencil? Does it make a humming sound? Is there a break at the switch where you turn it on? Is both the Line and Neutral getting to the connections? Can you just replace the brushes?

  2. If you are sure that it is the fan motor that is shot,
    1) Take the cover off. Most of them just pull straight down. Some of them, you will have a center plate that covers the bulb.Take whatever you have to.
    2) Once that is done, you should see the metal box that houses the guts.
    3) Hopefully, there will be sticker on the inside of the unit that will tell you the make and model of the unit.
    4) Now, comes the tricky part.
    a) Just buy the EXACT same unit , pull out the motor, take out the
motor out of the new unit and install it into the old housing.
    OR
    b) you will have to do some research on line to find a new motor.
    Good Luck.
If I helped, gimme 10! (points, that is) lol
