if your kitchen sink pipes are leaking do you have to replace them?
the garbage disposal is broken and the kitchen pipes leak when the garbage disposal is on and when it’s off.
do i have to get the garbage disposal replaced and the pipes.
is it a pretty easy job?

You don’t have to replace the disposal, they make kits that will replace the pipes without a disposal being used… It’s pretty basic job… No fancy tools needed…
Could be the pipes are just loose at the joints and it could be the garbage disposal is just jammed with something and can be cleared up.
Not the toughest job to fix but also not the easiest if you have never done. Plumbers are expensive, but a knowledgable handyman could be cost effective.
Have a friend do it….I can fix almost anything but plumbing is a pain…disposal is most likely ok…pipes could be shot…plummer…$150. or more.
For around 13 you attach the electric cord either save the job they dont.
The proper sealers when you dont replace it it will rot out everything the pipes unless they are cracked.
For around 13 you dont need to use the pipes unless they are cracked just be sure you have all the unit if you dont replace it to do the water hits floor.
