A quick question in 1997 me and my daughter bought a house.
so u could say that my daughter was like the signer and i the cosigner…but I was the one paying for the mortgage payments…so yearly I had around 5,000 dollars in payments.part of it interests…the thing is that me making around
17,000 dollars a year was not reporting the house to the irs…so you could say I was really just having 12,000 dollars for me and my wife.
and now in 2003 i did some of my file returns and the irs thinks I made more money by not justifying my house payments.and being paying interest on that debt since then but you could say that since 1997 to 2008 I havent reported
55,000 dollars on mortgage payments…. and the property taxes as expenses…what can I do…
and owed around 12,000 dollars do you think the irs ows me since I did not report my househould expenses? you might think thats pretty stupid…i am a newcomer…immigrant…
ok me and my wife..and two children there over 18…
thank you so much
not my daughter she doesnt pay anything she just helped me cause she had better credit…and she has not file it either….
mortgage interest deduction
thank you yes have been getting it …there around 4,000 dollars….

The florescent light above my kitchen sink just suddenly went out. I replaced the bulb but it still does not work. The light is within a light box that is attached to the underside of the cabinets. There is an electrical connection coming out of the wall that apparently connects to the box. You turn this unit off/on with a switch on the wall. I’m thinking I will have to replace the electrical light box.

Hi! We own an income property – 2 units, and we live in one of the units. We want to buy ourselves a single family home. In order to be able to do so, my hubby would like to buy a second income property, perhaps one with 3 or 4 units, which would give us a bit more income after all the rents pay for the mortgage, and hopefully then some. We would put this extra leftover towards a third mortgage on a single family home. At this point, we could rent out the unit we are currently living in, and move into our new place. My hubby wants to basically buy the second income property and the single family home at the same time. Do you think this is a good idea? I’m kind of nervous (okay really nervous) to suddenly jump from 1 mortgage to 3. I understand the rental properties will pay for themselves, and then some, but it still seems scary to do it all at once. What do you think? Thanks!

I have been renting a home. I made my payments on time. Unfortunately, the owner of the home did not and the property fell into foreclosure. The state I am in has a 6 month redemption period. I like the home and got pre-approved for a mortgage to be able to buy it. All of the sudden I found out the “owner” quick claim deeded the property to another individual/company who is now trying to sell me the property for much more than I would have been able to buy it from the bank. The new “owner” says he has negotiated with the banks (there were 2 loans) regarding a short sale and basicaly paid off the loans almost in full (which I doubt cause he could have waited and paid 80% original amount + zero on 2nd which would have absolved). However the liens and foreclosures are still on record and not satisfied as he claims. Now he is trying to sell me the home at huge profit or “rent it to me again with an increase”. Would the bank short sale after they already foreclosed? Why would owner qcd

We are trying to short sale our house and were approached by some people from up north that wanted to buy some property here in Florida and rent it out or a copule of years. They offered to buy our short sale house if we would sign a 2 year lease and rent from them. At the end of the 2 years they would like to either move into the house, or sell it, possibly back to us at the appraised amount. Can this be done? I have only heard of this as an issue of having family buying a short sale so their family members can stay in their own house by renting it and then maybe buy it back when it could be afforded.

Accountant says I’ll owe $10,000 in income tax by clearing $56,000 on sale of rental. Can I pay off my principal residence with that money and avoid paying those taxes?

My husband and I just bought an older home. However the entire house is filled with 1960’s decor including a lime green tub, sink, and toilet. (I didn’t even know they made those!) How expensive and how hard would it be to replace everything? Is there anyway to paint or stain these materials different colors maybe? They’re all fiberglass materials.
