My kitchen counter tiles are in good shape, however I hate the color of the backsplash. It is raspberry and cobalt blue. I would like to replace the colored tiles they are two tiles high and run the length of the counter. Would it be just as easy to hire a professional??

I think it’ll fit ok, but what about the bathroom moisture since it’s right next to the shower? Anything else I need to consider?

Hi,
We are looking to start and ECO property business (we feel this is definately the future of property in the UK). The problem is we only have 150K to start with, and its not really enough.
In the meantime, we thought we could raise funds by buying small, cheap developments, or auction properties, doing them up and selling for a quick profit. We need to have around 500K to seriously start our ECO business and we really want to do this, but its not easy to find the money.
I dont think we are in the position to get a bank loan for the business as we are still starting up (and it might be too risky), also we are not proven enough to get VC capital. Finally, we do not want another partner (equity) partner. There are two of us already and we think we can cope (work wise)..
Ive heard that grants, etc are possible and there might be other ways to raise finance..
Any clues or suggestions to help us get started would be amazing!
thanks

The bathroom faucet is leaking (badly now), and he took a look at it and says I will need to replace the entire faucet. to the point where the pipes reach the shut off switches (at the bottom of the sink).
I have called the faucet manufacturer for the warranty and they are sending me new parts saying that I do not need to replace the entire faucet.
Anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

Hi, I am a US citizen but would like to buy some property in Dubai, UAE. I heard that you are granted permanent residence if you buy any property. Can anyone tell me if it’s true and also the requirements and procedure to buy one? Thanks in advanced.

Ok maybe this is a dumb question but I am remodeling an old house and the owner told me he wanted the hardwood flooring left untouched. However theres an old clawfoot tub in the bathroom and the floors and walls look like they keep getting soaked and I dont want the wall to rot through. What do you suggest I do?
Thanks.
I thought I would add that in exchange for rent we are fixing up this house because the people before us pretty much wrecked everything or neglected it. I just dont know how to let the owner know that the floor is really in bad shape and how to present the fact that he may have to replace it too.

A relative’s house was rented on a short term lease 1 week before her death, her solictor is her executer and says that one weeks rent will go to her estate and the rest of the rent will go to the four people who will inherit the property, is this correct?. It is presently being paid direct to him, what happens to the interest on the money? She died 03.02.07 the tenants occupied her property 29.01.07. the rent was intended to help support her in a residential home
