I have a home in a college town. This college is very short on parking and so is the town. I am wondering if I can just rent out a parking space on my property? Do I need to get a permit?

We are trying to short sale our house and were approached by some people from up north that wanted to buy some property here in Florida and rent it out or a copule of years. They offered to buy our short sale house if we would sign a 2 year lease and rent from them. At the end of the 2 years they would like to either move into the house, or sell it, possibly back to us at the appraised amount. Can this be done? I have only heard of this as an issue of having family buying a short sale so their family members can stay in their own house by renting it and then maybe buy it back when it could be afforded.

After Googling “rent property private landlords uk” the sites that came up were all agents! I just want to pay a fair rent direct to the landlord and provide my own references from work, bank, current landlord etc. Loot didn’t come up with any in my area (CHeltenham) and I need to find somewhere soon! Considering purchasing a property to rent for short term to brother in Canada, what do I need to know?

I am considering purchasing a rental property that I will rent to my brother. The property I purchase will also likely have room for an additional tenant that my brother will manage (think upstairs suite, downstairs suite, etc).

I am in the preliminary stages of planning this investment at this time. In the end the purpose is to help my brother in the short term so that in the long term he can perhaps assume the mortgage from me and also to make some supplemental short term cash for myself. He won’t be getting a free lunch out of this by any means though.

I’m not sure how this should be approached, ideally I would want to put the minimum down as I have other things I could do with the money. How much do I have to put down if I am the only person on the loan? What about if he is also on the loan? If he is on the loan can I still legally rent to him as a landlord?

We would sign a normal lease agreement as I intend to cover my behind as needed.

Has anyone went through a similar arrangement? How did it work out? How did you structure the arrangement so that it is fair for both parties and offers mutual benefits?

I am thinking of letting a new flat.

I am currently renting privately and i am on housing benefit.

However i wish to move to another private let but so many agents say no hosuing benefit or dss.

I just wondered what would happen if i just didnt mention it?

Are there standard checks they can carry out with the council or anything to make sure any potential tenants arent on benefits?
