Does British husband need to sign papers for Brazilian wife to buy property in Brazil? ie she can’t buy alone?
This is a case of a separated British-Brazilian couple.
Brazilian wife lives in San Paulo and British husband lives in the UK.
As part of the divorce settlement, the husband was to buy a property for the wife in Brazil.
I’ve heard that the husband needs to sign for the papers, not sure if they needed his signature alone or of both people, but he had to go to Brazil to sign the papers.
Is this right?
